US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Substance Abuse Expert (SAE)
West Metro Counseling Group provides evaluations for covered employees under 10CFR Part 26 (US N.R.C. Fitness for Duty Program) who have alcohol and drug testing violations and other substance abuse fitness for duty concerns. Our eligible professionals are qualified as Substance Abuse Experts (SAEs) and met training and examination requirements under Section 12.187 (10 C.F.R) states. They perform substance abuse evaluations for employees who violate N.R.C. drug and alcohol prohibitions. The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is an independent federal agency created by the Energy Reorganization Act 1974-75 to protect public health, safety, and the environment by licensing and regulating civilian Reactors Safety (overseeing commercial power plants and research reactors), Materials Licensing (regulating medical, industrial, and academic uses of radioactive materials), Wastes Management (managing storage, security, and disposal of spent nuclear fuel) and Inspections (Conducting routine safety and security checks).
