Mohammad “Mo” Momtahan, PhD, DAC
Mo Momtahan, DAC, PhD is a Fellow of American Academy of Certified Forensic Counselors, holds a Diplomate status in Forensic Counseling and Addictive Diseases, a Diplomate status in Co-Occurring Disorders, an Advanced International Board Certification in Addiction and Mental Health Practice. He is also a Certified Clinical Criminal Justice Specialist.
For the past 30 years, Dr. Momtahan has specialized in treating adolescents, adults, families and couples, DUI/DWI offenders, DOT SAP clients, criminal offenders, trauma, death, and abuse survivors. His treatment areas served include addictions, existential issues, interpersonal conflict, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anger management.
In additional to providing mental health assessments, individual psychotherapy, and group therapy, Dr. Momtahan is a Clinical Field Supervisor for community counseling practitioners. He is a speaker and instructor in prevention of addiction and behavioral disorders and conducts seminars and workshops on a variety of mental health and addiction topics in Georgia. Currently, he is a member of the American Academy of Certified Forensic Counselors, American Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, Georgia Addiction Counselor Association, National Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
Nancy McBee Momtahan
Nancy McBee Momtahan, BS, CCJS, CTAPP has been Filed Director with West Metro Counseling Group since 2007. Ms Momtahan is a Board Certified Criminal Justice Specialist with the National Association of Forensic Counselors and specializations in Forensic Addiction Counseling, Adolescents Alcohol & Drugs Awareness Program ( ADAP), Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention, Anger Management, Shoplifting/Theft Prevention, and Court Referred Parenting Education. She is also Certified with the Prevention Research Institute as a DUI Prime For Life Risk Reduction Program Director and Prime Solution Outpatient Addiction Treatment Facilitator, GA-DDS Driving Education Instructor, Certified in Driving Test/License Examining and conducting seminars on Safe Driving and Road Rage Prevention.
